We introduced the letter C to Chiquita this week. The letter C starts lots of fun words in Spanish so we had lots to choose from, but I stayed with my "commitment" and used all "bilingual" letter C words, meaning they start with C in both English and Spanish:
-
C es de Chiquita - we revisited some of our name recognition games (honestly we play the clothespin and letter matching games at least once a week as a quiet activity during church), and added another easy name activity in the tradition of the sticky turtle.
- C es de Carro (Car). Another fun way to dress up the letter C, this time while learning another word that starts with C!

Spanish/English alphabet crafts we've done!

I love your choice to pick words that begin with the same letter in each language... It must have taken ages to come up with the whole alphabet... I've just been sitting here trying to see if I could do the same with french... And have not even got past A :(. I am determined though as I think it would make the whole letter learning process so much easier...looking forward to seeing the letter D
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty cool momma! I think my little guy would love C es de Carro the best :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Sharing Saturday!
I really like how you incorporate the form of the letter into each of the crafts; they are all really creative. I like cocodrillo the best.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That cocodrilo is the cutest thing I've ever seen! Thanks for posting all these great ideas to the Letter C page for "31 Days of ABCs"!
