Remember when I talked about Why I Blog?
Well I wish that it was only when clinically depressed that negative thinking gets in the way. I know that as a mom and as a person that I have struggled my whole life with my nasty inner critic. Even though I think I like myself on the whole there's that little voice that says "You can't" or "You aren't good enough". Have you heard it?
My friend Betsy Schow wrote an awesome book about how she brought her inner critic into submission and lost 75 pounds! This book isn't a weight loss how-to (as she tells you on the first page). It's about gaining confidence and finishing what you start. If we can all catch her attitude of doing what we want to do in spite of our own fears and previous failures then we can do any darn thing we want.

Very honestly, I cried a lot through this book. They were good tears though. I loved her frank and funny writing style and her book is as real as she is. She shared so much of herself and I just loved that.
I already gave a copy to every member of my family and now I'd like to give a copy to one lucky member of my blogging family! Just enter the rafflecopter below. It'll be open for the next two weeks. I have to mention that a certain anonymous yoga teacher (that's me!) might show up in the book.

By surrounding myself with positive reinforcements. I do tend to be a pretty negative thinker and the only thing that really helps is to call myself on it. That I wouldn't take that kind of negativity from others in my life and I shouldn't take it from myself either.
