In Spanish for Preschoolers we're learning colors and "El Pez Arco Iris" (Rainbow Fish) by Marcus Pfister was a natural choice. We read the book together in Spanish and then made our own rainbow fish.
I got these cute fish cutouts at the dollar store. Then I tore up pieces of tissue and construction paper in rojo (red), amarillo (yellow), azul (blue), verde (green), and rosado (pink).
In class after we read the book I handed out the fish, glue sticks and let them decorate with the paper! After the paper we added a little bit of glitter to make it sparkle like in the book.
