Paper Plate Peacock

We made this fun and easy craft after visiting Tracy Aviary and seeing all the peacocks sitting up in the trees.  It may sound silly but I'd never seen peacocks off the ground so seeing them up in trees with their long beautiful feathers trailing down was probably more impressive to me than Chiquitita.

I mixed up some purple and blue paint and let Chiquita paint all over a paper plate.  After it dried I cut it in half and she added glue and glitter.  I added the peacock body and beak.  Once everything dried I drew on eyes and a few head feathers.

It turned out so cute that it's still hanging in her "art gallery" in her room 6 months later!
