We finally tried this Butterfly Craft from No Time For Flash Cards. I just took some paper she had already colored on last night and cut out a butterfly (folded in half just like in the tutorial). I didn't have contact paper and never remembered to buy it at the store so I just overlapped strips of packing tape for the sticky backing. It worked excellently. Also instead of ribbons we used strips of tissue paper so the sun would shine through.
Chiquitita loved it! She immediately began decorating it and then when she was done took it to "fly" around the house. In fact she loved it so much she wouldn't let me hang it up... It's pretty sturdy though so I think we can wait a day or two before I get to display it.
