We got to practice lots of vocabulary with this L es de Leon (Lion) craft! After coloring (with help from me) and cutting out (all me) our template I laid out the lion and one by one we named the body parts and disassembled the lion:
- orejas = ears
- nariz = nose
- cara = face
- pelo = hair
- piernas = legs
- cola = tail
- cuerpo = body
I would point to the piece and ask "Que es?" (what is it?). Chiquita could name most of them without prompting but she did guess that the nose was a triangle first! With the piernas and cuerpo I also pointed out that they were la letra L, the letter that leon and lion both start with!
Then I put down glue guides and she put the lion back together! Roar!
That is a really good craft and I love how you named all the different parts.
