Our package came yesterday! Chiquita loved the shaker egg - the "real" ones are much more durable than the ones we've made out of easter eggs.
I showed her how to ring the tingsha bells properly but she insisted that they were her little cymbals. I love seeing her enjoy the music and the instruments.
We also got a copy of Daria's album "Jadda Jadda Jing Jing Jing". It's filled it old songs made new again like "La Bamba" and "This Land is Your Land". Daria has a beautiful voice that immediately caught Chiquita's attention when I put on the cd. Her little pop references like pizza, condos and recycling are really fun.
I can tell this is going to be a favorite already. I have to say it's hard for me to listen to a non-native singer in Spanish, but her pronunciation on La Bamba is really pretty good and the words are distinct and easy to understand, she also occasionally throws in a translation "echo" that I think makes it a great song for language learners.
*I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a cd for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.*
