Inspired By You: Fun Picnic Ideas

I loved the fun picnic ideas I found over at Kids Activities Blog.  I loved even more that we finally had a day warm enough for a picnic.

I always have Easter eggs so I picked the idea from Ramblings of a Handbag Designer.  I filled the eggs with dried cranberries, cashews, pistachios, goldfish, and animal crackers.  I brought a few slices of pizza and baby carrots to round out the meal.

At the park she was eager to find out what was "hiding" in each egg.  It turned out to be a great way for her to try new foods as she ate some of both the pistachios and cashews!  She also liked sharing with the kids we met at the park and gave away several eggs (we filled those with carrots since I figured they were the least allergenic).

I can't wait for more warm weather to try out other picnic packing ideas!
