If you live in the Utah County area be sure to check out this FREE Halloween Event! They will have Scales & Tales reptile shows, a costume parade, balloon animals, face painting, and more at the Thanksgiving Point Show Barn on October 19th from 11 am to 1:30 pm.

The event is organized by Help Me Grow, a non-profit initiative in Utah targeting families of children 0 to 8 to help them find parenting, child development and community resources. I've participated in this program since Chiquita was born. Every few months they send me an ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) that helps us to make sure she's on track with her development. At one time she was a little behind on her gross motor development. We talked about it and I knew it was because she wasn't getting enough tummy time - none of my relatives that were staying with us could stand to see her on the ground! Help Me Grow made some suggestions about what we could do to help her and we talked about it as a family. By the next ASQ she was right on track. I think it's a great program and peace of mind for parents.
