Say It Two Ways & Giveaway!

*See our link up and giveaway at the bottom of this post*

Spanish for Preschoolers was all about the earth and spring this week (mainly because we didn't have class last week).  We started off talking about the things a semilla (seed) needs to grow:
  1. tierra = dirt
  2. sol = sun
  3. agua = water
I used a white board to draw these vocabulary words to make sure everyone was following.  In our group right now most of the kids have one parent that is a native Spanish speaker, but none of the kids are comfortable with Spanish yet.  I try to focus on making sure they understand a few key words, even though I speak Spanish the whole time. At the end of class we planted seeds for each child to take home.

Then we read Luke's Beach Adventure!  It was great for our small group, everyone had fun with the poses!  It took about 20 minutes to go through the whole book together.  I'm so excited to be giving away a copy of this fun book.  The giveaway will go through the end of the month!

  1. Love the ideas! I'm going to try and do more creole with our kids because my husband is fluent! We have done a little yoga with my oldest daughter but would love to do more!

  4. This is a perfect book to use for a class! I have used another book in this series with my son, but I bet it would be even more fun to do with a group! Thanks for sharing on the Culture Swapper!
