Father's Day craft in Spanish!

Father's day crafts are hard for me.  Not every dad fishes or likes tools, not every dad barbeques or golfs.  So, for Spanish for Preschoolers this week we read a book and sang a song about dads and made this cute magnet for our dads.  I like it because it's just about loving our dads and whether they display it at their office, mechanic shop or the fridge they know we care.

I printed out a sheet of paper with "Yo Amo a Mi Papa" in outlined letters (about 36 font), cut it up & had the kids color them.   It was great for the preschoolers to practice tracing letters. Prior to class I cut hearts out of construction paper, about 4 hearts the a page.  With older kids they could do this step.  We trimmed pictures of our dads to fit on the heart pasted them and the words on the heart.  Then we added heavy duty craft magnets to the back.
